Bringing Your Practice Home: Yoga and Meditation
November 12-14, 2010
One way to make sense of our varied and complex lives is to begin or end each day with yoga and meditation practice in our own homes, hotel rooms or offices(or hallways!). But where to start? What to do? Together we will cultivate authentic practices rooted in ancient wisdom lineages, discovering different ways to design a practice--short, long, simple. complex, playful and restorative. Listening to our creativity, intuition and senses, we will engage the inner qualities of our body and mind, appreciating our evolving abilities and capacities. At times in our classes meditation practice/yoga postures have felt pushed or imposed. In this weekend retreat we will explore ways to approach a yoga/meditation practice by finding and trusting inner experience, whether we our taking our favorite yoga class or alone at home.

Open levels.Precious Knowing: A Meditation & Yoga Retreat for Women
January 5-9, 2011
Our bodies hold emotions, images, patterns and stories. When we learn how to fully inhabit our bodies through mindfulness practices we can know ourselves as complete and wakeful beings. We will practice sitting meditation, flowing and restorative yoga, and playful improvisational movement. Alone and together, our practice and insight will deepen through silent mornings and our community will develop understanding and trust through evening talking circles.
Some yoga or meditation experience is recommended.
